WCW Monday Nitro: Raven Appearance: (7.6.97) - More on who DDP's mystery partner will be. Will it be Hennig, Sting, or Raven? Mean Gene opens the program with Curt Hennig. Hennig's reception seems mixed. Perfect rants about his own abilities but is reluctant to reveal his purpose. He says he will be participating in the upcoming PPV but won't say anything about what his participation will be, to keep more mystery on the mystery partner situation.

During a Konnan vs. Joe Gomez match, Raven is revealed to once again be sitting at ringside.

Mike Tenay, ever the retarded gus, goes up to Raven and once again tries to ask him why he's hanging out at WCW shows. Out of the blue, running down the aisle comes Stevie Richards, Raven's ECW one-time lackey, who also appears in ECW for no reason other than to seemingly follow his former mentor around. He grabs the microphone and asks Raven, "Have you signed a contract with WCW?" Raven then proceeds to get up and punches Stevie in the face and sits right the fuck back down afterwards as Stevie winces from the blow.

WCW Bash At The Beach PPV: Raven Interview: (7.12.97) - Mean Gene Okerund, WCW's main interviewer, does his WCW Hotline promo - he talks about "people I have seen backstage" then approaches Raven who is ringside again. Stevie Richards is there as well, but Gene ignores him. Raven recites a poem stating he doesn't understand social grace or the human race, (his first words since appearing on the scene) but then says "... but the question is - will I or won't I be Diamond Dallas Page's partner but isn't that the same question I've been asked time and time again since my childhood. Isn't the question really - have I any dreams to sell?" then doesn't answer it. Gene turns to Richards who starts to talk but gets slapped down by Raven. However, it turns out that Hennig is DDP's partner, who turns on him to join the Four Horsemen.

WCW Monday Nitro: Raven Interview: (7.13.97) - Mean Gene shows us his interview with Raven last night at WCW Bash At The Beach PPV. He then approaches Raven at ringside again. Raven is equally cryptic tonight. Stevie Richards starts to say "Boss...you said if I signed the contract with WCW..." Raven spits in his face and then shoves him down.

WCW Monday Nitro: Raven Interview: (7.13.97) - At this point, Stevie Richards has signed his WCW contract. Mean Gene Okerlund and WCW's "Chairman of the Executive Committee" J.J. Dillon, are both highly interested in acquiring Raven's talents for WCW. On this night they're about to announce his contract signing. Mean Gene and J.J. Dillon come out and start to announce the signing of Raven to a WCW contract - Stevie Richards runs in and interrupts them and announces his own WCW signing. Dillon states that Richards has signed, but is more interested in Raven - who is sitting in the front row again. Dillon goes to him with a contract saying "You got everything you ask for..." - Raven responds "Everything I wanted?" Richards tells Raven HE negotiated the deal, which guarantees Raven, among other amenities, his own RENTAL car, an EIGHT-TRACK player for those lonely nights on the road, as well as the fact that he'll be making ALMOST as much money as Richards is. Raven spews forth verbal venom at Stevie Richards, knocks him down, then tears up the contract.
