The Raven Activity Archives

TNA iMPACT: Raven Appearance: (12.31.04) - Thirty-three minutes into the show a recap of last week’s backstage segment between DDP and Watts and then Watts and Raven is played. We then watch DDP make his way through the crowd and to the ring.

DDP: “It’s Me -- it’s D-D-P! What’s happening, Orlando!?! You know guys, there’s two reasons why Diamond Dallas Page came back to professional wrestling and chose to come here at TNA. And Number One would be to get the chance to wear the gold again -- to get that NWA World Title. And the second, the second most important reason that Diamond Dallas Page came to TNA was to have fun, heh-heh. I mean I love hangin’ with the boys in the back -- goin’ havin’ a beer afterwards, you know. And there’s nobody I love to do that more with than one of my best friends on the planet -- Erik -- and I don’t mean Eric Bischoff. I mean Erik Watts. So, Wattsy, they wanna hear it, I wanna know it -- what happened, my brother? Come on out here, man. Come on out here and let’s get it face to face. You know I love you, man. Hey, hit his music. Hit his music, bring him out here...”

Watts’s music begins to play, but Watts is nowhere to be seen. The camera pans both entrance ramps, but suddenly detours to the ring where two hooded figures are attacking DDP. Page, of course, manages to get the better of them, or at least the big tall one. The other “druid”, say the one who looks more like six feet tall, slides out of the ring before DDP gets a chance to do anything more than land a couple of punches and a clothesline on him. Meanwhile, DDP unmasks the taller druid to discover that it is Erik Watts. Watts looks stunned at this simple twist of fate, and gets to his feet nonetheless. DDP hits the Diamond Cutter on him. The other druid, who has unmasked himself, and is, of course, Raven, gets in a few blows on DDP but bails when DDP goes on the defense.

Outside the ring Raven grabs a mic to address Page.

Raven: “See Page, that’s the kind of guy you are. You wanna solve things with Watts, and the you Diamond Cut him. Page, I would set you on fire just to light my cigarette. You’re a peddler of false dreams and a snake oil salesman! Look what you did to him! You ruined his private life, now you’re ruining him publicly, Page! You’re a (audio cut out)! You’re a disgrace! You’re a two-faced man! And you’re gonna pay, Page! You’re gonna pay, Page! Maybe not tonight, maybe not later... but soon, and for the rest of your life. Quote the Raven, nevermore.”

TNA iMPACT: Raven Appearance: (12.24.04) - Twenty minutes into the show Diamond Dallas Page and Erik Watts are shown somewhere backstage. The two men are walking towards each other and bump shoulders.

Watts: “Well, if it isn’t Kris Kringle, the bang boy, easy now.”

DDP: “Hey.”

Watts: “Hey bang boy.”

DDP: “Hey!”

Watts: “It’s all about it.”

DDP: “Back off.”

Watts: “Oh really? I’m backin’ and there’s no space to go, boy, but down.”

DDP: “Hey, did you just hear what was just announced?”

Watts: “Oh, hold on there just a second... Hail the king. Oh, another title shot for the bang boy.”

DDP: “Ha ha ha ha. You see, you wouldn’t understand about things like this because you’ve never had a title shot. (Page slaps Watts on the chest) Hey, we’ll talk when I pick the spot.” (DDP walks off)

Watts: “Pick the spot... What an egomaniac.”

At this point Raven enters the scene.

Raven: “What a pompous half-wit. Man, he just disrespected you, Erik. He’s treatin’ you like a low life. He’s treatin’ you like a worthless piece of scum.”

Watts: “Alright! I heard you, okay! I’ll take care of it bro.”

Raven: (says something inaudible)

Watts: “Yeah, I will take care of it. It’s not need it’s will, okay!”

Raven: (mouths something else inaudible that ends with “Page.”)

Benefit for Sabu: Raven vs. "The Franchise" Shane Douglas w/Mick Foley: (12.12.04) - The Benefit for Sabu show was held to help defray the medical costs of Sabu, who had been hospitaliied since being injured earlier this year during a match in New Jersey. Sabu made his way to the ring and received an emotional response and spoke for only teh second time in his career, saying "Thank You" to the fans.

Special referee Mick Foley was introduced. Mick came to the ring to KISS' "Detroit Rock City", explaining that he didn't have his Mankind theme and couldn't think of a more fitting song to use than something by KISS. Foley made a nice speech in the ring, told stories of his history with Sabu and again got the crowd raising the roof.

Shane Douglas was introduced and started off on the mic, "Cut the fuckin' music!" Shane elaborated on his hundreds of encounters vs. Sabu and made a very self-less comment-- "For those of you who remember ECW, to this very day, not one single one of you can say that ECW didn't rest on the shoulders of the Franchise...but...I will be honest with you, in all reality, ECW was built by that man, Sabu! Back when wrestling was dying a rapid death and fans were turning off the TV at record rates every fuckin' week, one man came along...and god dammit, the TV sets fipped the fuck back on with more excitement than ever!"

Raven's music hit, he slumped into the corner and handed the announcer a sheet of paper. The announcer read the statement from Raven, which was hilarious, including random jokes-- most notably giving out Disco Inferno's home phone number to the entire crowd!

Raven took the mic and stared at Sabu saying he never liked Sabu, never liked his uncle the Shiek and he never will like either of them. Foley interrupted and mocked Raven, which caused Raven to leave the ring and start heading back up the aisle.

Foley said, "Raven...I got two words for ya..." The crowd screamed "suck it!", to wich Mick said "no, no no, what is this, 1999? I got two words: Johhny Polo!" Funny spot that got the Polo chants going.

The match was underway with lots of stiff spots, chairshots and multiple breaks in the match for either Mick, Shane or Raven to take the mic and crack jokes at one another. Classic stuff. Raven said he'd put the crippled-ass Sabu through a table tonight. The table eventually emerged in the ring, Raven attacked Foley beating him with punches until Mick turned it around. Mick went to go grab Mr. Socko from his sweats, only to pull out a roll of three condoms "on-accident." Then the real Socko came out, but not in time. Raven continued to beat down both Mick and Shane ... until from behind, Sabu jumped from his seat. Sabu put on Mr. Socko and delivered the claw to Raven himself! The crowd went wild for this spot. Shane came to and joined Foley in double teaming Raven thru the table set up in the corner!

In a very rare out-burst, Foley grabbed the mic, smiled ear to ear and screamed at Raven: "Raven, you fucking suck!!!" Every fan's jaw dropped, then crazy laughter and chants of "Foley said fuck!" Sabu, Shane and Mick stood in the ring to end the show.

TNA iMPACT: Raven Appearance: (12.10.04) - Forty minutes into “Impact” a video clip is shown of highlights of the DDP-Raven match from “Turning Point”. We then cut to the back where Shane Douglas is waiting for DDP.

Douglas: “Diamond Dallas Page, what a great match between you and Raven at Turning Point.”

Page: “It was, wasn’t it? It was absolutely a brutal match, but what else do you expect from someone like me and Raven?”

Douglas: “One more question: what exactly is going on between you and Erik Watts?”

Page: “Hey... back up, monkey, alright.” (Raven interrupts the interview, as he walks up Page pushes him in the shoulder)

Raven: “Hey.”

Page: “Hey, don’t make me kick your teeth down your throat again, alright.”

Raven: “Settle down, Beavis, settle down. I’m lookin’ in your eyes -- and you don’t know. You don’t know, do you? You’re willing to forgive the unforgivable. You don’t know about Watts and the thing, do you? Man. I thought you knew. You don’t know about the thing. (Raven points at Page and laughs). I thought you knew, Page. I can’t-- you’re going to forgive the unforgivable. I thought you knew, ha."

Page: “Is there anybody who knows how to stir a pot better than Raven? Ridiculous.”

Later in the show, Raven is backstage somewhere else with Erik Watts.

Watts: “Hey, hey, hey, hold on, hold on, where you goin’? We need to talk.”

Raven: “What are you doin’, man?

(Watts and Raven hug)

Raven: “We’re goin’ to the Dungeon tonight, right?”

Watts: “No, no, no, the Hawaiian Tropic.”

Raven: “Whatever, listen. I gotta tell yah, I was talkin’ to Page, alright. I know you’re going to get upset--”

Watts: “Whoa, stop, stop, stop, stop. Are you talkin’ about the Diamond Dip? The Hard-head?

Raven: “Yeah, listen, don’t worry about it. I was talking to Yoga Man, and explain to him. I was trying to tell him after Turning Point maybe we settle a little something -- maybe earn a little respect, but no. He’s still disrespecting you. He still feels like -- like -- whatever. He doesn’t -- he doesn’t respect you.

Watts: “Hol-hol-hol-hold on. First you’re talkin’ about tonight, and I’m cool with that. Now we’ve got to bring up the Diamond Dip. And as far as I’m concerned -- you said it, you hit the nail on the head. He’s got no respect, but you know me. You know my fighting intention, my fighting value, and what I mean. And let me say this: I don’t need to tell you -- he will feel: bang (Watts makes the sign of the Diamond Cutter) -- the respect, because I can.”

Raven: “You’re gonna have to.”

Watts: “I can.”

Raven: “You’re gonna have to.”

Watts: “You know what? I’m not going to beat him.”

Raven: “You’re gonna have to hurt him, Erik.”

Watts: “I’m gonna mistreat him. I’m going to own him.”

Raven: “You’re gonna have to. You’re going to have to hurt him, Erik.”

Watts: “That doesn’t change tonight... hold on --”

Raven: “You’re gonna hurt him.”

Watts: “Hold on, that doesn’t change tonight.”

Raven: “ No.” (Watts and Raven hug, again. ) “You’re going to have to hurt him. Hurt him!”

Watts: “Own him.”

Raven: ”Hurt him, man.”

Watts: “Own him.”

Raven: “Hurt him. Hurt him! (Watts leaves) You’re going to pay, Page. You’re going to pay, Page, you’re going to pay.”

TNA Turning Point: Raven vs. Diamond Dallas Page: (12.05.04) - For the last month here in TNA, we have seen the return of Diamond Dallas Page to the ring, in an attempt to cost Raven his matches. The reason for this hatred stills seems a little bit blurry, but Raven was out to get his revenge on DDP for his recent actions. Before the match got underway, Erik Watts sat down at the broadcast position to join Don West and Mike Tenay. Page went right to work on Raven in the early going and looked fantastic in first match in TNA. The fight quickly went into the crowd where a trash can was used to hurt one another.

It was all DDP for the first part of the match, but then Raven got steel chair involved and the momentum quickly shifted. Page hit a Diamond Cutter out of nowhere, but Raven was able to kick out. Raven countered by hitting his Evenflow DDT on Page, but he also kicked out. Just then, two cloaked men surrounded the ring. Erik Watts could see no more and climbed in the ring to stop the mysterious individuals from getting involved. Watts quickly took care of them with some viscous choke slams and went over to help DDP up off the ground.

Once Watts helped Page to his feet, he hit him with a violent clothesline sending him hard to the canvas floor. Erik Watts then went to put the choke slam on Page, but he countered and got the Diamond Cutter on the Watts. Raven came to and went right after page who immediately hit him with a Diamond Cutter, and DDP pinned him for the 3 count and the victory.

WINNER: Diamond Dallas Page via Pinfall

TNA iMPACT: Raven Appearance: (12.03.04) - Approximately thirty minutes into the show a video recap of the previous week’s altercation between Raven and Diamond Dallas Page is shown. This is the lead-in to what would presumably be an in-ring announcement from DDP, as DDP’s music hits and he begins making his ring entrance through the crowd. However, Page does not make it to the ring unencumbered. Raven has come through the crowd, wielding a trash can and hits Page in the head with it, knocking him down. Page gets up and inexplicably punches the trash can to no avail and falls down and over the barricade at the same time.

Raven throws Page into the ring and enters it himself. Raven kicks DDP in the chest about four times, getting him into the corner, where he then proceeds to scuff DDP’s face with the sole of his boot. Raven then runs across the ring, charging at Page and connecting with a knee to DDP’s face. Raven then celebrates, caustically, by making the sign of the Diamond Cutter to mock Page. Page gets up out of the corner. He grabs Raven by the throat and throws Raven into the corner, then throws several vigorous punches about the head and chest of Raven. DDP then attempts to take Raven across the ring, but Raven turns this around. In mid counter DDP swings at Raven, as if to punch him, but Raven ducks. DDP the attempts to kick Raven in the gut, but Raven grabs his leg, DDP then spins around and clotheslines Raven to the matt. Raven gets up and Page attempts to hit the Diamond Cutter on him, but Raven ducks out of the move and slides out of the ring.

Raven backs up the ramp as he and DDP briefly stare each other down. DDP ends this exchange however, suddenly turning and looking in another direction. The camera pans the crowd and show that Erik Watts is standing somewhere amidst the fans. Raven smiles in a celebratory fashion at this. The camera then cuts to several shots of the three men staring at each other. Raven points to Watts, continues to smirk and backs up the ramp as we cut to commercial and apparently will have to wait for the Turning Point pay-per-view for further details.
