National Wrestling Alliance: Total Nonstop Action [January 22, 2003 - Present] Raven's war to avenge his scalping starts on September 24, 2003 in an auspicious manner as Vampiro & The New Church lynch Raven & his Gathering after Raven's clique defeats The New Church in an impromptu six man tag team matchup. On October 8th, Raven targets Sinn of the New Church and lays him out, defeating him with The Raven Effect and hanging him over the ropes -- taking him out of TNA. Raven is jumped afterwards by Mitchell's gang as The Gathering is too late to save him. Raven insists that this fight is Raven's and Raven's alone and asks them not to interfere. Punk & Julio continue to try and watch Raven's back despite Raven insisting he does this alone. On October 22nd, Raven takes out Slash, using the same m.o. he did on Sinn and takes him out of TNA as well. Raven announces he will take out Vampiro in a match of his own devising called the "Dream Blood Gallows of Retribution" - which can only be won by hanging your opponent and losing consciousness. On October 29th, Raven gets his final revenge on Vampiro and defeats him in this match-up, taking him out of TNA once and for all. Mitchell attacks Raven with a fireball, but misses. As Raven goes to attack Mitchell, Punk inadvertently helps Mitchell escape, which raises Raven's ire. On November 5th, Raven gets his vengeance as he has Mitchell alone in the ring. Raven beats him to within an inch of his life. Raven triumphs and takes Mitchell out of TNA, winning his feud. Raven then announces his next goal is the NWA Title and frees The Gathering, cutting Punk and Julio free from his cult of personality, which sparks a new burning in Punk for revenge. >>
